Raised in Annapolis Maryland, Michael moved south to earn his BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia. It was at UGA that Michael first began developing his skills at renovating homes and his love of real estate.
Michael moved to the Virginia Highlands neighborhood in 1982 and was instrumental in various startup and high growth companies in the advertising, healthcare and technology arenas for over 20 years. His last position before jumping into real estate full time was Partner and Senior Vice President of Information Systems at OSI Systems Inc., a healthcare software company, during it sale to MedAssets (MDAS: nasdaq) .
Michael bought his first investment building in Midtown Atlanta in 1985 and has been buying, renovating, and selling properties ever since. This longevity of experience provides valuable insight into the Intown neighborhoods that helps separate the hype from the real trends. His experience renovating homes is a huge benefit in the Intown neighborhoods where many of the homes are 60-90 years old. In short Michael brings a combination of marketing, advertising, contract negotiations and home assessment that is unique in this market.
Michael is in his fourth season coaching boy’s lacrosse. As a father of two, Michael is highly involved in his children's schools and the community at large.
